Congratulations on your engagement! We are so happy and thankful for you. We also praise God that you are inviting him into your wedding by going through the sacramental marriage prep and getting married in the Church. Please contact Joanna Rogers (contact below) as soon as possible but at least six (6) months in advance of your wedding date so that you can begin the process.
When the priest has determined that no canonical impediments prevent the couple from marrying, the priest will book the date of the wedding celebration. The engaged couple is responsible for securing the date with the church before making commitments with caterers, reception halls, etc.
Couples who wish to be married at any of our churches must either have parents who are registered members of Epiphany of the Lord Parish or be registered members of the parish themselves. Elements of the preparation process include an initial meeting with Joanna, meetings with a priest or deacon, discussions with a trained mentor couple in the parish as part of the FOCCUS program, and participation in a marriage preparation program (typically Witness to Love). Please allow a minimum of 6 months to complete the preparation process, once you are eligible to set your wedding date.
